BOYO SOCIAL WELFARE FOUNDATION

For over 20 years, the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation has been the leading non-profit organization in improving educational outcomes in Taiwan. Today, Boyo has 18 main campuses that reach out and help over 2000 children every single day. STEP is a proud partner of Boyo and helps with volunteer staffing and content creation.

"We should be aware of this fact: The majority of children from poor families perform worse academically, and the majority of poor families do not give their children enough impetus to excel. Losing hope, these children become less competitive as they grow up and enter the workforce." -Boyo Social Welfare Foundation

Boyo focuses on developing perseverance and fostering a love for learning in disadvantaged communities in Taiwan. They aim to establish learning habits in the students by having them come to evening classes every night throughout the entire school year. Operating out of their main campuses, Boyo teachers and volunteers work closely with local teachers and families to ensure the improvement of students' learning.
